Police and Safety July 10, 2025 Waterbury Man Arrested After Crash Injures State Troopers An 18-year-old man from Waterbury was arrested following a collision on Interstate 91 in Enfield that injured two Connecticut State Troopers. The crash occurred Thursday morning when the suspect’s vehicle hydroplaned and struck a police cruiser, pushing it into two troopers. The victim, 47-year-old Samuel Lopez, died from multiple stab wounds after being transported to a local hospital. Another man sustained a serious facial injury but has since been released.
