The famous "Bristol" building in Waterbury's Bristol, also known as Platts Mills, neighborhood. Did you know that full-length, state-of-the-art, all-color, hollywood "silver screen" movies were filmed and created here? The picture above was taken prior to the infamous "Bristol Fires" of 2016. The fire department worked for over 3 weeks to put out the fires. There was so much debris in the building that the water used to put out the fires evaporated before it could reach the actual fire. Once the fires were put out, the debris was so hot that the debris reignited on several occasions.
