SWAN Day, 2014
The seventh annual SWAN Day Connecticut is fast approaching. This April 2014 event is “The night the ladies come out to show you how it's done”. The annual event, which, like organizer Jenn Hill, has earned national media attention. She likes to bill the music and arts night out as, “Bonaroo meets lollapalooza, fronted by the females of the east coast!”
Tickets for the event became available online on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at http://www.showclix.com/event/3801952/pre-sale.

Art, music, burlesque, hot, rock, jazz, funk, hip hop, beauty – and more – according to the singer/vocalist, “blow your socks off, croon you, bleed you, take you on, take you out, make you feel, make you cry, and make you ..you!”
Applications for vendors and artists are still being accepted, but the band slots and burlesque slots have already been filled. The event takes place this year at the nearby Illusions night club in Wolcott, CT. Hill selected the venue due to several years of greater Waterbury-area demand, and because “they have amazing food, a huge parking lot, and tons of space for us to rock”.
The date of the event is April 5th, 2014, and the festivities kick off at 6:45 p.m. and go “till we wanna stop” – officially until 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. More information is available at SWAN Day CT, and at ReverbNation. Some of the artists include Farewood, Canyon, Post Modern Panic, Dina Brass, Jennifer Hill and Co., Sarah Barrios, Nick Mathis, the Dress-Ups, Dancy, Sarah LeMieux, the Royal Din, and more. Hill encourages people to visit and “Like” the SWAN Day CT Facebook page. Tickets are offered for $12 per person; this event is for adults age 18 and over.
