About
The Bucks Hill Community Club

NOTE:
The Bucks Hill Community Club is NOT a neighborhood housing association, and it never has been, despite having this erroneous label on the City's official website.

  1. Description of the Bucks Hill Community Club
    1. The Bucks Hill Community Club is a volunteer organization which aims for the safety and betterment of the Bucks Hill neighborhood community.
    2. Meetings are generally held monthly at their clubhouse on North Main Street.

      1. Some are annual events
    5. Although this, and many other neighborhood associations and neighborhood community clubs have existed in this city for, in some cases, over 100 years, and although none of them have ever been neighborhood housing associations, they have been erroneously listed as such on the official City of Waterbury website as such.  To be clear, neighborhood housing associations are very much different from condo associations, and both of those are very different from organizations such as Neighborhood Housing Services of Waterbury (NHSW) and Loyola Development Corporation, and all of those are vastly different from any of Waterbury's neighborhood associations and neighborhood community clubs.  The function, purpose, and manifestation of each of these types of organizations is significantly different, and none should be confused with the other.

Club Reaches Community to Help Find Dog

Around mid-November 2014, a Bucks Hill resident was walking his dog, Ruthie, who got loose and ran away.  About three weeks later, neighbors reached out to the Bucks Hill Community Club to circulate the news, along with a picture of Ruthie.  Nearly a week later, Ruthie was back home.

Membership Renewal Time

Plans are in the works to make the Buck’s Hill Community Club a more vibrant and active social facility to enrich the lives of all residents of the Bucks Hill area.

We need to grow, and we need the help of ALL members for the survival of our organization. Why not make a New Year’s resolution this year to be an active member and attend the monthly meetings. Also, ask your friends and neighbors to become involved.  With your help, we can meet our goals.

January is the time for membership renewals and forms are included with this bulletin.
