Sliplining Project in Waterville, Down Town, Continues

The City of Waterbury launched a significant phase of its Third Water Supply Transmission Project by beginning work on an 8,125-foot section of the city’s 42-inch water main along Thomaston Avenue.  This rehabilitation project, aimed at addressing frequent failures in the aging infrastructure, utilizes a trenchless sliplining method to reinforce the pipe with a high-density polyethylene liner. City officials expect the work, which will continue through the fall, to greatly improve water reliability and safety for residents and businesses.
