1. ​About the Fairmont Neighborhood
2. ​Location
   1. ​The Fairmont Neighborhood is part of the Waterville section of Waterbury, although it is sometimes considered to be part of the Bunker Hill neighborhood.
   2. Most neighborhoods in Waterbury are relatively clearly-defined, and generally accepted by the community and the government.  Fairmont is not one of those.  Each of the following description variations includes the logical properties, and does not exclude out-of-town properties, in a way similar to the Alexander neighborhood (which specifically includes certain properties which are in the Town of Wolcott).
      1. ​Version #1 - Colloquial: Colloquially, the neighborhood includes all of areas circumferenced by
         1. all of Colonial Avenue on both sides of the road,
         2. all of the areas directly north of Colonial Avenue and south and southwest of Connecticut Highway Route 8 southbound,
         3. all of the areas east of Brookside Road, but only just south of Fulkerson Drive,
         4. all of the populated areas west of Huntington Avenue starting just south of Ford Avenue,
         5. then, to completion, in a mostly northwest direction from there to the intersection of what would be, Fulkerson Drive if it had continued across Brookside Road nearly directly east.

         7. This version includes all of the most heavily populated areas within the above confines
         8. This area does not include Coe Park nor its surrounding area
         9. This area does not include any parts east of Huntingdon Avenue
         10. This area does not include any parts west of Brookside Road
      2. Version #2 - Western Extension: Some sources define the Fairmont Neighborhood to include
         1. All of the above-described area, and
         2. the area through Watertown Avenue
            1. ​This includes W.F. Kaynor Vocational Technical High School
            2. This includes Municipal Stadium
            3. parts east of Falls Avenue 
               1. ​where it meets Connecticut State Highway Route #73
               2. and north of Matoon Road, but south of foreign road, in a foreign county, Happy Avenue in Watertown, Litchfield, Connecticut
               3. Roughly following the boundary between Waterbury and Watertown, 
                  1. ​Yet including all properties on Northridge Drive, whether confined to Waterbury or expanded to Watertown
            4. ​​Yet this version does not include any parts west of Falls Avenue
      3. Version #3 - Huntingdon Extension: Some sources define the Fairmont Neighborhood to include 
         1. the areas as described in the colloquial definition above
         2. and not the area depicted in version #2 herein
         3. Browns Meadows, which, itself, includes,
            
            1. the area from the above through Connecticut Highway Route #8. 
               1. ​This includes Huntingdon Avenue Playground
                  1. ​This version may be most accurate as evidenced in historic records
                     1. ​especially at a time previous to the construction of Connecticut Highway Route #8.
