About the Fairmont Community Club and the Fairmont Neighborhood Association

The Fairmont Neighborhood Association

  1. ​​The Fairmont Neighborhood Association (FNA) had existed prior to the year 2,000.
    1. Also once was a member of the Waterbury Neighborhood Council (WNC)
    2. For various reasons, several neighborhood associations and community clubs divested themselves of the WNC, including FNA.
    3. Great effort toward, and support for, a rebuilding of FNA was exerted by WNC Presidents Joshua Angelus, David Therault, and Vincent E. Martinelli, Jr. respectively.
    4. Finally, under WNC President Martinelli, it seemed that the FNA would once again be formed.
      1. During that time
        1. both Martinelli and Therault were instrumental in that endeavor, and were strong advocates of encouraging this to happen.
        2. Treasurer of the WNC, Kimberly Sidotti, a Fairmont resident, held several FNA exploratory meetings at her house.
        3. Martinelli and Therault, unbeknownst to each other, each generated interested in the FNA from area residents.
    5. Martinelli left the WNC in year 2016, and all gravity and momentum of a revival of the FNA diminished and became exhausted immediately.
    6. There was no further attempt, support, nor action from the WNC to reform the group.
