Project Clearwater
[October 2017]

Over 60 people attended the Aldermanic Candidate Forum on Monday, October 30th, 2017.  The event was sponsored by Project Clearwater, and was held at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School.  Candidates from both the 2nd and the 5th district were invited to answer a series of questions.  Some of the participants and notable guests included Geraldo Reyes, Greg Hadley, Frank Guerrera, Vernon Matthews junior, Erica Cooper, John Murray, Larry Butler, Dave Therault, Kevin Taylor, James Monroe, Lawrence V. De Pillo, Brian McEntee, Bill DeMaida, Kay Griffin, Dan Pesce, Alan Couture, Liz Cotto, Cicero B. Booker junior, Roger Sherman, Justin Patrick Duvall, JoAnna Cass, Sandra Martinez-McCarthy, and Vincent E. Martinelli junior.  A reporter from the Republican-American was present, and the event was video recorded for subsequent airing.  Despite the fact that several WNC-member neighborhood associations being represented in the 2nd and 5th districts, there was no participation, no attendance, and no representation from the Waterbury Neighborhood Council.
