About Tompkins District

Tompkins District is one of the earliest-known neighborhoods in the Town of Waterbury.  The neighborhood bordered the town of Woodbury and the County of Litchfield (the areas which have now become Oakville and Watertown).  The name lives on today by virtue of Tompkins Avenue.
